? Who can register as a volunteer with ReproRegistry?

Anyone based in the UK who is over 18 years of age can register as a volunteer.  We encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to take part in medical research to register their interest.

? Can I still register as a volunteer even if I do not have a health condition?

Yes. We need healthy volunteers as well as those with medical conditions to take part in our medical research studies. 

? What will happen to my information once I register?

Your information will be kept on our secure database.  We will use your some of your information to match you to suitable research studies e.g. your health condition, age or gender. If you're a match, we will then contact you and invite you to participate.

? Will my information be kept safe?

We take your privacy very seriously. Best practice security features will be used to keep your information safe on our database. 

  • Access to your information will be restricted to authorised ReproRegistry staff  
  • Your information will only be used for matching to research studies
  • Your information will not be shared or sold to third parties or groups.

? How will I be invited to take part in research studies?

If matched to a study, we will contact you by email or phone to tell you about the research study (you can choose your preferred contact route when you register). We will send you all the relevant study information so that you can review what will be involved and to decide if you would like to participate. If you decide to participate we will then arrange for you to take part in the study.

? Do I have to participate in every study I'm matched with?

No. We will invite you to review the information for each study. You can choose which research studies you want to participate in. The choice is yours.

? Will I receive a payment for registering with ReproRegistry?

No.  We do not directly provide payment for joining. Some research studies that you are invited to take part in may offer payments for taking part or to cover any travel expenses.  You will be notified of any payments when invited to participate in a research study.

? What happens if I change my mind?

You can remove your information from the database at any time. Simply fill in our withdrawal form (see leaving ReproRegistry).  We will confirm your wishes in an email. Your information will then be deleted from the database.

Inflammatory Skin Conditions

We are looking for volunteers with the following inflammatory skin conditions to take part in multiple studies.

  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Psoriasis
  • Hidradenitis suppurativa

We are also looking for Healthy Volunteers over the age of 18 years to take part in various research studies.
